Take a closer look at a Flo Garden
Creating a balanced freshwater ecosystem
Just like in nature, a natural pool operates without the need for chemicals.
The crystal clear water you will find in a Flo Gardens natural pool is created by a perfect balance of endemic (local): fish, crustaceans, plants, rocks, pebbles and logs.
Your Flo Garden is a beautiful, self-sustaining ecosystem in action with clean, healthy water that’s completely natural.

Natural vs Traditional Swimming Pools
Living Water
Sterile Water
Requires large amounts of concrete, steel and toxic chemicals which have a high impact on the environment.
Replicates a balanced freshwater ecosystem. Requires no chemicals and enhances local biodiversity.
• Naturally filtered water that is pure enough to drink, like in a rainforest stream. Tastes and feels soft and refreshing.
Water Quality
• Chemicals like chlorine are required to create clear, sterile, “safe” water to swim in.
When you spend time in your Flo Garden natural pool, you will experience…
• Reduced stress and anxiety.
• Improved sleep quality and mood.
• Enhanced immune system.
Health
Swimming in chlorinated water, you could suffer…
• Increased risk of asthma symptoms
• Increased risk of skin irritation
• Increased risk of bladder cancer
Maintenance
Natural pools function as…
• A self-sustaining ecosystem.
• Plants and animals maintain balance naturally, creating a very low-maintenance environment.
The only regular maintenance required is:
• Removing organic matter (like leaves and debris) by clearing the intake bay of your natural pool.
Ongoing Maintenance…
• Water testing (complex).
• Regular chemical inputs.
• Water tops up.
• Manually remove organic matter from
pool and skimmer box.
Environment
•Chemical pollution runoff:
chlorinated water may affect local plants and animals, soild and waterways
•No interaction with surrounding wildlife as water is toxic.
• High carbon footprint, cement and steel contributes more than 10% of Global CO2 emissions.
• Adhesives grouts contains VOCs (Volatile organic compuds).
Natural Pools
• Hold freshwater in the land.
• Support endangered freshwater ecosystems including plant and animal species.
• Acts as carbon sink absorbing and storing CO2.
Construction
•95% Natural products used.
• Simple construction process.
• Short installation time.
• No concrete, steel, tiles required.
• Lengthy building process.
• Council permits are always required.
